Video Games I have been playing

Some of the games I have been playing for the past week or so. 

First, obviously, as I've posted recently,

Samurai Warriors 5

I am pretty much done with the main campaign, the idea was to replay the thing and perhaps get more trophies – which I've gotten some – and perhaps platinum the thing. But, the more I play the more I desist of the idea (😅).

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge

I have played and beaten this game many times over, but nothing like playing with my oldest. Also, I picked up the Dimension Shellshock DLC which includes two more characters,  Usagi Yojimbo and Karai, among other goodies. Now every time she sees me picking up the PS5 remote she grabs the other one.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown

I picked this one up on the release date, I have been waiting on this one for a while and it is finally here. My first impressions are, that I love the art, the voice acting is on point and sounds great, and the story seems pretty good and intriguing. The combat it's solid and fluid but has lots of parrying, I usually suck with the praying system but it is well done here and it is very satisfactory. It is a metroidvenia through and through, a 2D side-scrolling, almost souls-like, in a way, makes me think of games like Blasphemous or Dead Cells in some ways but the one I would compare it the most would definitely be Metroid Dread. I even feel the same level of stress and excitement that I felt playing Dread when I play The Lost Crown, to some degree, especially at some point in the story when you enter certain areas that, well, I don't want to spoil anything.

I am currently playing on the PlayStation 5 but, from what I've read, it performs well even on the Switch, which knowing me, I am sure I'll be getting a Switch copy at some point. It is Ubisoft, it will be on sale soon.  

This game, in my opinion, is Game of The Year material.
